Genre: Young Adult, Paranormal

Rating: 5/5 STARS!!!!!

End of Days is the explosive conclusion to Susan Ee’s bestselling Penryn & the End of Days trilogy.
After a daring escape from the angels, Penryn and Raffe are on the run. They’re both desperate to find a doctor who can reverse the twisted changes inflicted by the angels on Raffe and Penryn’s sister. When the angels release an apocalyptic nightmare onto humans, both sides are set on a path toward war. As unlikely alliances form and strategies shift, who will emerge victorious? Forced to pick sides in the fight for control of the earthly realm, Raffe and Penryn must choose: Their own kind, or each other?

Story Arc/ Plot

That. Was. EPIC.

As usual, this book had a strong story arc with absolutely no plot holes, one conflict after the next.

The plot was full of all the things we love about the series: Humor, epic battles, and Raffyrn!

The book was utterly satisfying and though I’m sad the series was over, I couldn’t ask for a better conclusion!

Everything was fast-paced and it felt like I was watching a movie. And, of course, it was full of action!

Susan Ee has a really great writing style for her stories. It’s very simplistic, but at the same time it’s really goes deep into descriptions so that you always have a crystal clear image in your mind.

World Building

So, since this is the last book in the series, there obviously wasn’t much of any world building.

Penryn is heroic yet unsure as usual and all together awesome. Raffe is his usual arrogant angel self. The twins..please hold on a minute while I burst into laughter.

The character interactions are the most fantastic thing about this book! Obviously, the Raffryn conversations are the best.

I felt like the characters, especially Penryn, really grew into the best they could be in this final book.

Angelfall – Book Review

Title: Angelfall

Author: Susan Ee

Genre: Paranormal, Young Adult

Rating: 4.5/5 stars

It’s been six weeks since the angels of the apocalypse destroyed the world as we know it. Only pockets of humanity remain.

Savage street gangs rule the day while fear and superstition rule the night.

When angels fly away with a helpless girl, her seventeen-year-old sister Penryn will do anything to get her back…

My Thoughts:

Okay, I am generally not a big fan of paranormal books. I am also not a big fan of dark books. This novel qualifies as both. Though there are very grotesque descriptions of dark matters, there’s a lot of witty banter to keep you laughing. The story was action-packed throughout, and there were absolutely no plot-holes. The romance was also so cleverly woven in.

Really, the only bad thing I can say about this book is the very distinct descriptions of dead bodies and how they were -uh- eaten.

Eeek I’m cringing. But the book was so good! Susan Ee is a genius!

My overall reaction:

I would recommend this book to all people everywhere! Unless you’re squeamish. You wouldn’t make it through two chapters. Though you’re welcome to try!
